Calling Daytona Beach Home Doesn't Mean You Can't Have Fun

When people visit Daytona Beach, the reality is that they find a million and ten things to do because they don't live in the area. They head out to the water parks or the miniature golf course and, of course, can't get enough of spending time on the beach. The reality is that some of the folks who call Daytona Beach home sometimes forget that there are a ton of things that they can get out there and do.

Sure, those of us who are living in Daytona Beach know the best places to get a bite to eat when we go out (and, unlike the tourists, we know where to go to avoid paying tourist prices for meals). We know where to find the quiet spots on the beach and the best times to go simply because we call Daytona Beach home.

But as a friendly reminder here as we're entering into the weekend, I just wanted to throw something out there - both for those who already own a home in Daytona Beach and for those who are thinking about moving to the area. It's okay, every once in a while at least, to head out and do something that might be "for tourists" even though you live in town; say you've always wanted to check out Haunts of Daytona to scope out the beach ghost walk, why not go ahead and take the time? These things are a big part of what's great about calling Daytona Beach home.
